Tutoring
services are offered for children in grades K-8th, in communities
throughout Dallas. Our goal is to provide the basic skills and
knowledge allowing the at-risk students to achieve academic success in
their current learning situation. After school tutorial sites uses PATHWAYS,
our TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge Skills) based curriculum focusing
on math, language arts, reading, and technology. DCL staff and volunteers assist
children with homework and daily curriculum. Our after-school program
also allows plenty of time for the children to work in our activity
centers including our library, art, game and computer centers.

Our 8-week camp includes a Themed Curriculum which provides Fun, Facts, and Field Trips! Our students are provided a safe environment five days a week during the summer keeping the at-risk child off the streets and out of trouble. Tutoring classes are incorporated into our camps three afternoons a week to help retain the knowledge and skills learned the previous school year.
